At 'The Coreo Tanzania Charity', our mission is to empower Tanzanian children by providing them with the opportunities and resources they need to thrive. Our vision is simple yet powerful: to advocate for universal access to the same educational opportunities available in the Western world, ensuring equitable paths to success for every child. Through education, support, and community-driven initiatives, we aim to bridge the gap and create a brighter future for all.

Tanzania, despite being one of Africa's top 10 economies and rich in natural resources, faces considerable economic challenges. Widespread poverty, limited access to quality education and healthcare, inadequate infrastructure, and high unemployment are persistent issues. The population also contends with an unstable inflation rate, driving up the cost of living. Moreover, the country is highly vulnerable to natural disasters such as droughts, floods, and tropical cyclones, which threaten communities, economic stability, and wildlife conservation efforts.

Education is at the heart of everything we do. Studies show that education is one of the most effective tools in breaking the cycle of poverty, opening doors to economic stability, better healthcare, and improved quality of life. Our team understands this first-hand, and many of us have seen the impact that education can have — both on individual lives and entire communities.

According to UNICEF, 23% of primary school-aged children in Tanzania are out of school. Furthermore, by the end of grade 2, only 12% of students could read Kiswahili with comprehension. Only 30% of schools have basic provisions for sanitation, as most lack proper menstrual health support and facilities. With over-crowded classrooms (average class size is 70), and a shortage of qualified teachers, the education system is not yet able to equip all children with the skills and knowledge they need as resilient citizens of the 21st century.

Through our charity initiatives, we work to provide the tools and resources children need to thrive in school and beyond. From building schools and supplying learning materials (scholarships and mentorship programs in progress), we are dedicated to ensuring that no child is left behind. Our work goes beyond just providing access to education; we focus on creating environments where schoolchildren can flourish, grow, and realize their full potential.
